Terms of Use & Acceptable Use Policy

1. Authorization is mandatory

You may only submit targets (websites, APIs, domains, apps) that you own or for which you hold explicit, written authorization from the owner to perform security testing. Each scan requires you to confirm this, and OvuGuard records the confirmation, time and IP address. Scanning third-party assets without permission may be a criminal offence.

2. What OvuGuard does

OvuGuard performs passive, non-intrusive checks by default: it reads public information (TLS handshakes, HTTP response headers, DNS records, public pages, public app-store metadata) and statically analyzes Android packages you provide. It does not deliver exploit payloads, brute-force credentials, or fuzz inputs in the default mode. Requests are rate-limited. Probing for exposed sensitive files and Metasploit auxiliary scanners run only on domains whose ownership you have verified, and only when you explicitly opt in.

3. Prohibited use

  • Scanning targets you are not authorized to test.
  • Using the service to harass, overload or disrupt any system.
  • Attempting to use OvuGuard to reach internal/private networks (blocked by design).
  • Reselling reports or access without permission, or uploading malware/files you have no right to analyze.

We may suspend accounts that violate this policy and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities and target owners.

4. No warranty

Reports are automated, point-in-time assessments and may contain false positives or miss issues. They are not a penetration test, audit or certification. The service is provided "as is", and our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before a claim.

5. Data

We store your account, scan targets and results so you can view your history. Uploaded APK files are deleted immediately after analysis. iOS binaries are never downloaded or analyzed.

6. Subscriptions

Paid plans renew monthly via Stripe until cancelled. Scan quotas reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Failed scans don't count toward quota. Prices are shown in Nigerian naira (₦).
